Youth and Lower income community members are important too!

It came to my attention while reading the report that affordable housing, and supporting our youth came last on the list. This to me is a huge mistake. The youth of today, are our adults of tomorrow. If they do not have the supports and resources they need to be healthy, both mentally and physically we are going to run into more problems further down the line.

As for affordable housing, that to me means that it's affordable for single income families as well. Take for example the amount of single parents who live in Milton. And how they are one pay check away from being homeless. Something needs to be done about this.

Outreach to other community members in lower income households is a must.

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment.

As mentioned at our Public Open House (which was recorded and can be viewed online) there is no priority to our list of guiding principles.

We are currently engaging very broadly with different communities within Milton and will be reporting our findings to Council shortly.

Thank you again!
