Walker Neighbourhood Park is located at 1325 Kovachik Blvd., in southwest Milton.
We’re excited to develop a new neighbourhood park with you and your family in mind. Local parks are shared spaces for the community to get active, recreate, socialize and connect with nature. They are places built for the community, with the community in mind.

A neighbourhood park has a central location in a local neighbourhood.
Some amenities may include:
Active sports facility such as soccer or ball fields intended for casual and programmed use
Parking is providing within the park or shared with a nearby school
Naturalized areas which are enhanced by their close proximity to existing woodlots, streams or mature trees
Turf areas, tree and shrub planting
Maintained activity areas and paved walkways with lighting
Seating areas
Play areas with playground equipment
Spray pad, multi-purpose court(s) and gazebo or shade structure
Additional signage such as neighbourhood history and interactive panels
Next steps
Walker Neighbourhood Park conceptual and detailed design, including project approvals, will take place throughout 2022. Construction is forecasted to begin in spring 2023, and be completed in winter 2023, subject to Council’s approval of the proposed 2023 capital budget.
