Moorelands Park Improvements

Moorelands Park, located at 504 Laurier Ave., is undergoing redevelopment to enhance its amenities and improve your park experience. Currently, the park features a paved pathway that provides community connections, open space, mature trees, naturalized areas and a natural stone boulder feature.
We know Moorelands Park is an important part of your neighbourhood and we’re excited to make enhancements with you and your family in mind. Thank you to everyone who shared their input throughout the design process. View the final design.
Park enhancements include:
- Widened asphalt pathway
- Pathway lights
- Site furniture
- Signage
- Relocated boulder
- Tree and shrub planting
- Enhanced naturalization planting
Construction is forecasted to begin in spring 2022 and be completed in winter 2022, subject to Council’s approval. For information about the Town’s park projects, visit our park development web page.

We back on to this park, Would love to have a playground - could be on the flat area by the trees- so everyone can still toboggan

I would love to see a pathway by the water and a bench or two by the water as well.

Remove Existing Boulder
This park is popular in the winter for tobogganing for younger kids in the neighbourhood. Removal or relocation of the Boulder would improve usage as a toboggan hill.

Please do not make any changes. My children love it just the way it is. Less is more sometimes. If anything, remove the rock.
Green space

I enjoy the layout as is. Upgrading is a good idea. If a playground, perhaps by the Boulder since already an obstacle for tobogganing
